Pressurisation systems maintain correct pressure in heating, solar, cooling, and booster systems. As water volume changes with temperature and is nearly incompressible, pressure can rise sharply in closed systems. This is managed using static pressure maintenance systems (expansion vessels) or dynamic pressure maintenance systems.
Compressor-controlled micro-pressurisation system designed for small to medium-sized heating and cooling systems, equipped with a nominal vessel volume of 80 litres. The integrated Smart Control system ensures precise pressure maintenance by regulating the compressor and air discharge valve, providing reliable and efficient system operation.
Variomat pressurisation units regulate system pressure through hydraulically driven pumps. When the system pressure exceeds the setpoint, an overflow valve opens, directing water into the expansion tank, reducing system pressure. If pressure drops below the setpoint, the pump activates to return water from the expansion tank to the system, raising the pressure accordingly. Integrated degassing is part of the unit’s service scope. A time-controlled partial flow is directed into the depressurised expansion vessel, where gas separation occurs. At a slight positive pressure, the released gases are safely vented through a dedicated valve.
Variomat Giga is engineered for particularly high performance and pressure demands, with nominal vessel volumes ranging from 1,000 to 5,000 litres, and special sizes available up to 20,000 litres on request. An integrated solenoid valve ensures minimum pressure protection. The system can be configured as a custom solution for safety temperatures above 110 °C and pressure ratings exceeding PN 16, in compliance with EN standards.
